About Us
The Enrichment House
At The Enrichment House, we create engaging and personalized learning experiences that help children grow with confidence. Through bilingual learning, dyslexia support, Spanish lessons, tutoring, music, creative activities, and hands-on enrichment, we support each child’s unique learning journey.
Our goal is to provide a warm and encouraging environment where children feel safe, valued, and excited to learn while discovering their strengths.
“Every child learns differently — and every child deserves to feel seen, encouraged, and confident while learning.”

Meet the Owners
Ana Catalina Mize
Owner & Educational Director
Hi! I’m Catalina Mize, founder of The Enrichment House.
Teaching has always been a part of who I am. Long before opening The Enrichment House, I spent my college years tutoring elementary students and discovering how much I loved helping children learn and grow.
I graduated from Texas A&M University with a degree in Kinesiology with a Teacher/Coach emphasis and a minor in Spanish. As a bilingual educator, I’ve had the opportunity to teach Spanish at every level, from beginner courses to advanced classes. Throughout my career, I’ve also served as a dance coach and later had the privilege of helping struggling readers as a Dyslexia Specialist.
Outside of the classroom, music and movement have always been an important part of my life. I grew up singing with my family as we traveled to churches for ministry, and I spent many years dancing, including serving on the Christian Dance Team at Texas A&M. These experiences continue to shape the way I teach by making learning engaging, interactive, and enjoyable.
Today, my greatest joy is homeschooling my three amazing children while also serving families in our community through The Enrichment House.
I personally teach:
- Reading Intervention
- Spanish Lessons
- Music Classes (Recorder)
Together, my husband and I also offer:
- Elementary Math Tutoring
- Soccer Training
One of my greatest passions is helping families raise bilingual children. As we’ve navigated raising Spanish-speaking children in an English-dominant environment, I’ve learned so much about making language learning natural, practical, and fun. That journey inspired me to write my own beginner Spanish curriculum and activity book designed to help new Spanish learners build a strong foundation. I’m excited to share it with families soon!
At The Enrichment House, my goal is simple: to create a place where children are encouraged, challenged, and equipped with the confidence they need to succeed. Every child learns differently, and I believe they deserve instruction that meets their individual needs while making learning a positive experience.
I can’t wait to meet your family and be part of your child’s learning journey.
Nick Mize
Owner, Coach & Math Teacher
Hi! I’m Nick Mize, owner and coach at The Enrichment House.
Education, athletics, and mentoring have always been at the heart of who I am. I graduated from Texas A&M University with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with a Teacher/Coach emphasis, as well as an Associate of Arts degree. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of teaching math, science, and physical education, helping students develop both academic skills and confidence.
In addition to teaching, I’ve spent many years coaching football, basketball, and soccer. As a former high school athlete myself, I understand the valuable life lessons that sports teach: discipline, teamwork, perseverance, and leadership. My goal has always been to help young athletes grow not only in their abilities but also in their character.
Serving children has extended beyond the classroom and the field. I served as a youth camp counselor at our family church for two years before returning for another two years as Athletic Director, where I had the opportunity to mentor and encourage students as they grew in confidence and built meaningful relationships.
Today, I’m excited to continue investing in children through The Enrichment House. I provide elementary math tutoring and soccer training, creating a positive environment where students feel supported, challenged, and encouraged to reach their full potential.
Whether we’re solving math problems or developing soccer skills, I believe every child is capable of success when they’re given the right guidance, encouragement, and opportunity to grow.
I look forward to meeting your family and being part of your child’s learning journey!
